Head Problem (with pics)

Ok guys, I found something that might be a problem...and I need my fellow DSM'ers opinion.

I had alot of money invested in this head so far, so I'm wondering what the hell went wrong.

could you please show me the part number for camshaft bearings?????

Did you recently reinstall this head with new cam shafts or have the head rebuilt? If so then that is what happens when you dont use assembly lube or any lube at all on the rotating assemblies. or it could be it was torqued down more than spec. by quite a bit.

I agree with vr4. Looks like a freshly rebuilt head. So I also say no assembly lube on the cams. Or over torqued. Your going to have to take it off and get the jurnals aligned honed. And your going to need a new set of cam shafts or atleast the one thats bad.

Edit: If you need a new head I have several heads in my garage and I am only about 40 minutes away from you.

I had the machine shop assemble the head, so I'm not sure if they used lube or what ever. I checked the torque for the bolts, and they were good.

I'm going to have a shop check out the head, and I'll let you know nuclearr. I have about 1500 in into the head.

I know the feeling on the head I will have 1500 in the one I am puting on my stroker motor. Also I have a new set of BC 280's I have to get rid of if your interested (they are not going to be big enough for my build, I need to get the 288's)
