Well I got my head on and running but.

After I got it to temp I noticed my catch can filter was getting full of water. I took it off. I left the hose dangling from the breather from the VC it was dripping water. I shut it down and I retourqed the ARP bolts.
They seemed to take alot of retourqing for instance, I had to turn them at least 90 degrees and one almost 270 degrees to tourque up to 85 lbs. is this normal.

So now when I rev it to 3500 or more it smokes kind of white. I put my hand at the exhaust and have it reved the smoke feels wet.

So I have some dumb questions.
1. Can the HG be in upside down.
2. Maybe my torque wrench isn't good. It is brand new Discount Auto.

I think it is HG related.
Someone help
Thanks George

I have the gernade pin. Maybe I have to much tension on it. I'll see in the morning. At least I don't have to pull the damn lower cover.

Sidenote. My exhaust tone has changed. Louder and lower.

Yes the Pin works great - That method has been validated by Taboo, who has set more Timing Belt Tension settings than you & I ever will. I take it you left the Plastic POS cover off - Good idea until you are happy. The Exhaust note change is also probably a good clue & consistent with your Timing OFF theory...

Update.
I clocked my compressor housing in order to get a better fitment for my LICP, well in turn made the actuator hold the wastegate oprn. I adjusted it and now it runs like a champ. 20lpsi at 3500 rpm and pulls hard right to rev limiter. Everything is sweet. Just have to tune now.
Thanks for your help guys.

I love it, BUT you gotta promise that now you have unleashed all 'em ponies doesn't mean ya gotta let 'em ALL out of the barn every day for every shift. It's nice to know they are there, gotta feed and water 'em responsibly. I'm sure you have heard the statement these are high maintenance cars, and as much fun as they are to drive you will have to stay on top of the problems.

Cheers,
GTM

I like to keep my ponys ready and a waiting for track days.LOL
I've got a Track day on the 17. Now I have to get my tranny up to snuff.
1st to 2nd gear is not so quick. I think my syncros are worn a bit. At high rpm I have to wait for it to go in 2nd before I let out the clutch.
