Head build up for 2g Automatic

hey everyone just curious as to how I should go about my head build. This is for a 2g Talon awd auto. I will be using a 2g head. I want good mid range power and the ability to push close to 500hp crank with good daily street drivablity. My thoughts are a mild port, 5 angle valve job, ferrea valves, manley springs and retainers, FP2 cams and some ARP studs to hold it together. Any thoughts or additions to this? Thanks.

I would run stock 2g head (the ports are fine) with fp2s and a magnus intake manifold. Maybe sodium filled intake valves and ss exhaust valves.

If I put a Magnus intake mani I might as well port the head or it wouldnt be very efficient.

if you port the intake ports and slap a magnus mani on, you'll having nothing for low-mid power, it'll all be top end, not sure you'd want that w/ an auto

By slapping on the magnus and not porting, will i still keep bottom end power? I thought the head had to be machined to match the intake manifold...

Buy a 2g magnus intake manifold. The smaller ports and higher velocity make the 2g head the better choice for you because it provides awesome torque and still flows plenty on the top end. With a much straighter shot into the combustion chamber it makes the head alot better to use. And fyi there are a few people in washington state running 600+whp on their street cars with stock 2g head ports and a magnus intake.

not a problem. A little more info if you want it. Blueballz on here is the one making 600whp+ and he broke the dsm tq record on the torque freaks dyno a few weeks ago with that stock 2g head (of course with cams and intake mani and maybe more like valves)
