I have searched this before, but it slips my memory and my more recent searches for the answer have not jogged it.

Is a 1g NT 4g63 block strong enough for a high performance turbo buildup? I know they do not have oil squirters, but these would be removed anyway due to the stroker setup. Also, are the main caps the same as turbo mains, or if not, can turbo mains be bolted up?

Thanks,

Greg Heineken :talon:

The NT block will be fine to build. The mains are same for both blocks.

I actually used a Hyundai G4CP block for my build up. <Still running strong. Knock on wood :thumb:

Good luck.

the N/T block is fine but you will see higher then normal oil pressure due to there not being any oil squirters. porting the oil relief valve is a must.

Thanks. Just wanted to be sure. As for the oil pressure, would an external oil cooler setup help to allviate that at all as well?

Thanks,
