having alot of trouble, first gen head on 7 bolt block

i bought my car with a bad motor with the intent of rebuilding it. After i tore down the motor i found it was a balance shaft belt that snaped. all my vavles were bent and the head was trashed. I had a buddy who fried a rod in his first gen with a ported rebuilt head. I had looked online and saw other people have put a 1g head on a 2g block, didnt know it would be this much trouble. the water pipe and thermastat housing were totally off and i had to get them out of a first gen... i also relize i have to rewire for the CAS.. After i got the head i thought i would go and find a 1g intake manifold since they flow better...so i got one and had it ported to match the head...now im trying to put everything back on the intake mani...the 2g parts dont fit on the 1g intake mani, and the 1g parts have the wrong hook up to the wiring harness.. help me out if you can... im greatfull for any anyone can give me at this point.

What parts? can you list what you are having trouble with.

90 cars have differnt TPS, IAC, coil, and power transistor plugs than the 91-94 1G cars. So it sounds like you have some 90 DSM parts, that you will need to swap for 91-94 parts that will fit your 1G intake.

yeah it is a 90 intake manifold...and i got the coil and everything else with it...so you saying 91-94 parts match the second gen wiring harness?
