Have you heard of Evo Scan?

I was at a car meet a month or two ago and I was talking with a dsm'er and he was telling me about this Evo Scan and tried to sell me a cable for it. I have a 99 GSX and it seems that the cable would hook up to my OBD-II port and then I would run it to a laptop running the Evo Scan program. I looked it up and it seems pretty legit and you can even use it for re-flashing apparently. Its was originally made for Evo's (obviously) Have any of you guys ever used/heard of it? I believe it only works with 2g's with OBD-II ports.

It comes out in different configurations. I have it on my 92 talon. It seems to be a great logger for me. Very easy to use and has lots of options. Also the connect seems to be very fast. Tres....

On the early models , it will not reflash. I would need link or jackyl for example and to go with a chipped/emulator setup to have adjustability. The later 98 and up OBD II like yours is flashable ,I think.. Sorry I have no feedback on ecu flashing. I do like the product for my use. I can't use all the options available on the desktop. The oldschool 1G just doesn't have all the electro-gizmos. Tres..

That would be the open port 2.0 cable. As long as it has the mitsu flash adapter you can use it to flash 98 and 99 ecus. Let me know what you think about this.

Thats pretty cool. What would you need to run that and would that be similar to EvoScan?

Evo Scan i believe is only a logging software that has lots of options. As far as the Ceddy mod its self, you only need the open port 2.0 Cable. Which you will also need for Evo Scan too.
