I have been searching and reading quite a bit on Greddy's different boost controllers. I have definately seen a lot of negative about Profec B II. However, haven't found much good/bad about the E-01. I was wondering what people think about the Profec E-01? The only other option I am considering is a Hallman MBC.

If you really have the need to change your boost settings on a regular basis, then get the EBC (no experience with either mentioned). I on the other hand just set my boost and forget it. I use the Hallman MBC and can attest that it holds boost rock solid. Your call.

Hallmann is great choice, I've had two. And for on-the-go boost changing (which wouldn't make a whole lot of sense because of tuning and what not), you could just get an in-cabin MBC, like mine. MBC right in your car, but don't try running a vac line there for a normal mbc, get one built for going inside. I haven't had much experience with electronic bc's. My buddy has the profec II bspec, but I haven't messed around with it or seen it in action. It does hold his boost, though. Good Luck!

Profec b specII, think most of the issues were because the user wouldn't take time to read the manuel & learn how to tune it properly. Profec Type S (which I run) works amazing, only 3 knobs: gain, boost low & boost high. Easy to set and performs exactly how I want it to. Only problem origional batch had a software issue that wouldn't allow them to boost past 20 psi. This would only be a problem if you got a used one. Can say one thing Greddys customer service is absolutly horrible. Had an egt gauge that was defective & brand new, took 7 months to get a replacement. Had to send my profec type S back for the software upgrade & its been 4 months so far & no controller yet. I have 3 Greddy items & 2 had to go back. Personally I won't ever buy anything else from Greddy.

I think i will save the money for an EBC and get a hallman(looking for the kit to use inside cabin). Thanks for the advice, now that I think about it I truly won't be messing with my boost much once I am tuned.

Both Greddy products are outstanding. If you have Greddy E-manage or if you want to have the coolest EBC out there, then the E01 is a good choice.

I personally have the Profec B Spec II and I love it. Yes I read the manual out of the box and I never had a problem with it since I bought it. I placed black tape over the solenoid to keep it stealthy when smog time comes.

I would also go with the Blitz line of equipment. Their EBC/ R-Vit Display is awesome.
