I am doing my rebuild for the season now and I ran into a small problem. I wanted to get rid of my stock elbow off of my throttle body, so I was looking through my boxes of car parts. I found the perfect solution, I have a 1G Non-turbo 63mm throttle body. Looks exactly the same as the 1g one i was using for the past few years, only it has a factory neck on it, not a bolt on elbow.
I was looking through alot of old posts and people do run these, my question is can you just bolt it on and have fun with it? I saw some people did have theirs re-built, and trew in turbo seals, and others said they were just fine the way they were. I figure if you can but a mustang throttle body from bbk which isnt made for boost, you should be able to use the non turbo one with no problem...
Is anyone running a non-turbo 1g without the turbo seals in it?
