Has anyone heard or done the setup with an extra injector on the T.B?

Ok i just installed a hahn 20g turbo on my car it came out great (min pressure it can be set at is 16psi), i do have some leaks but. :( But not noticeble, but look right after a installed the turbo my car decided to give me really wierd noises from hell coming from the tranny, I dropped it, it ended bieng my starter and Throw out bearing at the same time, this drained most of my money for the next 2 weeks. So now my question, after the long years that my nieghbor has been putting rx-7 into the 9s he has gathered alot of stuff
~Pressure control switch, t-fittings, ect ect. So i was wondering until i can get the safc is it possible for me to just throw an extra injector on the throttle body to turn on at lets say 10psi of pressure? i already have a 255 walbro pump in my car. Any comment welcome.
Once again this will be temporary use, i need to have the car running. like it is now the car just wont move the timing gets pulled back pretty bad. Wondering if maybe this could be a solution.

just keep the car out of boost until you can tune. You're gonna need larger injectors of course though.

Whats wrong with the extra injector? it will be like a inline pump fmu kinda of thing right? or will it cause trouble, i will keep it out of boost, it was just a question to see if anyone has done it or heard about it?

1. Injectors don't go in the throttle body. LOL

2. No, anytime you install different injectors other than what the ECU is intended for, you will need fuel management.

You've been told by many in your previous threads to wait until you have enough fuel before you install the 20G or you will have bunch of issues. Learn from your mistake and do it right this time.

It is not impossible. I have a lot of experience with Starion/Conquest cars and that is what they do. They usually end up putting two injectors just before the throttle body and running and AIC (auxillary injector controller). Something similar to this set-up from Top-End Performance. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM, THEY SUCK :notgood: I just wanted to give you an example.

AIC set-up from TEP

I do agree with the people above that you should have waited to install that 20G. There is no way in hell that I would be running 16 pounds on a 20G with no fuel upgrades. You are asking for your short block to grenade on you.

Wow, excuse my ignorance. :coy: AIC, learn something new every day. I still don't think it's a good idea though.

Here's another way to do it.

Amazing! Thanks, i know a buddy who was doing it on his ls motor (acura) And i have seen it done on alot of rx-7, tuning it is not a problem niether is running it, i know it will run safe rich regardless, just wanted to know if anyone else has done it before. I will be adding a 460cc rx-7 injector (if i do it).

I have a friend who custom machined a spacer plate between the tb, and the tb elbow that would run two 390cc injectors. He had it setup on a hobbes switch so that at a certain psi it just dumped the fuel into the engine. It of course didn't work too well, but then he stepped up to the greddy e-manage unit and has since got it working reasonably well.

Why do it halfassed? Why not just wait to do thing right? You cut corners, you are going to suffer the concequences. It not a smart idea. Just wait till you have the money to do it right this first time. If you didnt have the money or resources to do it right, why put the 20g on for? You are probably slower then you were before. O well, do what you will with what you got and just hope to whoever is it you pray to that you dont mess anything up.

~ T-25 took a sh!t got the whole turbo and install kit for 400.

~ No i dont have money for the right setup, welcome to the world of tuning.(well for 2 weeks)

~ I Just wanted to see if anyone else did it, thats all. I am staying out of boost, I really dont speed anyway, but it helps once in a while.

~ And yes captian obvious it does run slower, Who wouldve figured.

~ You talk like if you know me, Just wanted to know if it has been done or attempted, I got my answer. Thanks for you worthless comment. This thread can now be locked if it needed :toobad: .
