Did all my brakes yesterday. Fronts were a breeze but the pads were too small for the rears. All the little metal clips were in place and the old ones popped right in. But the new ones just slid out and didn't stay in place. They were duralast pads. I ended up putting the old rears back in and buying some from O'rielly's and they fit perfect. I just thought it was weird and it took me 3 hours to figure out they were too small LOL. I thought I was doing something wrong the whole time but obviously it's because autozone's crappy quality break pads. This was on a 92 talon tsi.

stay far away from autozone!! :p
got and Alternator once, damn thing wouldn't fit. They say, "no that's the right part number", i said, "ok, well im telling you it doesn't fit!" They swapped it out, STILL.. it was a pain to get on then the pulley didn't line up straight to the others causing the belt to be slightly crooked and wearing my belts out to where they kept snapping. Not only that, they very unacknowledged, f*ing slow, and their business management is jack!

ANYWAYS.

I usually don't have problems with autozone. The front pads fit great but they had to order the rears which didn't fit. I will be going to O'rielly's now though. They seem to have better stuff and the staff is much more knowledgable.

Autozone is horrible, same situation here with an alternator they gave me. Took me 3 alternators to test fit and fail before they located the right one. So I wouldn't doubt either it's their fault not yours. Good luck
