has anyone done this kind of motor/tranny swap?

i have a 94 eclipse 5 speed (non turbo). and i have a 93 talon 5 speed AWD turbo. the body on the talon is pretty much useless ..every panel has defects, and the clutch is gone. The eclipse body is near perfect and the clutch is still good. What i want to do is take the motor,tranny, turbo, rear drive train,ecu, etc etc from the talon and put it into the eclipse. Me and my brother in law are going to take a weekend (might take longer) to do this and weve done a few motor swaps and tranny swaps at our work already, mostly on V6's and V8's, so im thinking we can bang this 4 cylinder out pretty easily. My only question is this...
Are there any sensors from the talon that i need to be aware of that need to be swapped?
Once i swap the ecu and main harness... im thinking there might be sensors from the talon that i need in order for the ecu to read it correctly. I dont need anyone to tell me where the sensors are located (i have the haynes manual) i just need to know the names of the sensors .Someone please help me out with this or anything else that i need to swap that i might not be aware of. im trying to get this done before the weather gets cold.
 
If you're swapping engines over, the easiest thing for you to do is to replace the wiring harness from the n/t car with the wiring harness from the turbo donor car. That way, you know that the sensors will match up, etc.

As for converting that eclipse to AWD, you'll have to do a lot of cutting, welding, and fabricating. Off the top of my head, you'll have to relocate the fuel tank as well as make attachment points for the rear subframe, since the floorpan for the fwd and awd models are different. It won't be a bolt-in affair, so if you're not familiar with bodywork and lot of cutting and welding, just stick with turboing the eclipse.
 
hmm i wasnt thinking the rear would be a cut and drill event. i didnt know the subframes were different. ill have to bring both cars in on lifts and check it out. What would need to be welded? you mean just spot welding onto the subframe? we got a guy who does body work at my job and gives me extremely good prices, and the drilling wouldnt be a problem. i just dont know about the welding part, spot welding might be ok but if its anything else i dont think i can do it there.the guage cluster wouldnt be a problem anyway thats nothing, and the ecu and wire harness is pretty simple too.
ok now if i just want turbo and not the AWD, can i just switch everything exept the rwd parts?and do i need to still switch trannys if im not gonna have the AWD? what im wondering about that is how much HP will i get out of that turbo setup compared to having the complete AWD turbo?
 
youll be happier and have less work in swapping in the turbo engine.awd dsms have a tunnel for the driveshaft undet the rear seats.so youll pretty much have to cut and redo the whole back half of the car.you can just turbo the n/a car,but its like your v8's.you can run a little boost,but to much and stuff breaks.
