I've never done this before and I was just wondering if I have this set up correctly. And if so, how would I prevent it from turning when I go to tighten it?

haha oh boy, well what I screwed those bolts into looks like it was holding me back from removing the front case.

got it, sorry for the stupid question, must've gotten carried away with removing things and didn't look at the manual or search anything, dumb.

Wow I'm glad I found this thread cause I'm at the same exact point in removing my front cover. So it's supposed to pull right off? Cause mine is not just sliding off at all so is there any other method to removing that if it's on super snug?

Thanks for the help, now all I gotta do is hopefully let the PB blaster loosen things up for tomorrow, since my electric impact didn't do a thing...

I am assuming that question is directed at me and to answer your question, yes it is.

If the bolt is removed, then there's nothing holding the sprocket on. If it hasn't been removed in a long time, then it may be a bit siezed. Try tapping it with a hammer or wiggling it back and forth on the snout. Get rough with it and it should come loose and slide right off.

Thanks a million, I was just hesitant to get rough with it cause I didn't want to mess anything up. It did seem to be a durable part but I like to play it safe.
