It had just started to wear away at the timing cover and one bolt holding it on. Just as I got to the place to repair it, the thing split in half! I still have the "two" pieces of my one piece harmonic balancer in my closet. haha.
Under drive crank pulleys don't have the rubber damper, and are not a good idea for 7 bolt motors, which are susceptible to crankwalk problems. You can get a new stock pulley from rockauto.com for 65 bucks.shallowshowcase said:well i just ordered the unorthodox racing underdrive crank pulley... maybe that will work a little better

That company used to be so good but lately the customer service seems to be falling apart. How did you pay them? I'm sure you can stop payment some how, you do not want to put a UDP in your car.shallowshowcase said:dude hrm, well i called dsmparts.com to cancel the order... and they said "ok ill tell them to cancel it but i cant guarantee that it will be cancelled" and i said "Whats the policy on cancelling an order" and they said "we dont guarantee that all orders will get cancelled if asked" i guess i might learn my lesson then
Yikes. San Rafael Mitsubishi will considerably beat that price. One of our sponsors.ZachM31 said:i ordered mine from a dealer, $145 shipped....
A 1st gen will fit on a second, but a second won't fit on a first.SpoolinV8ETR said:So is the underdrive pulley ok for a 6bolt? Are the pulleys the same from 6bolt to 7bolt?
so i know this isnt a classified add, but[apparently not.]

It happens all the time now...before I had no problem...about a month ago the belts started squealing and then the oil pump gear spun off and took out the timing cover, the timing belt but I saved the motor(4000.00 strocker motor).so I put everything back together brand new and it worked fine but now the belts are squealing again.the water pump pulley has a wobble to itAlibi said:Slap some vaseline on the lucky belt that is squealing.
