I had a feeling that my clutch was going to go soon because i noticed a large decrease in its gripping power. but the yesterday it started acting up while changing gears. It is hard to get out of 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th. but the weird part is that it is fine between 1st and 2nd. So what i am asking is this shifting problem my clutch going out on me or is it a problem with something else like my transmission?

Sounds more like your synchros or a Slider is going bad. Have you tried adjusting your clutch, or bleeding the slave cylinder yet? Do the simple things first and then see where you are. What about your shifter bushings, those can go bad and cause some freeplay in the system and make it a little harder to shift.
