well...... hahn called back.

we put a new oil fitting in the turbo with a new oil line.. the oil line was not the problem, the fitting going into the turbo was.. it turns out that the flange for the oil inlet was turned in just a way that no oil was getting into the turbo... we should have never changed that fitting. we thought it was going to help get more oil in there.. looks like we were wrong.

in short.. it fried. nothing is usable. i have no idea how im going to afford 800 bux for a new turbo.

Well when you get your turbo back I would hold off boosting until at least 1000 miles. 600 is not that bad, but I would hate to see you have to pull those pretty pistons out again. I am waiting till 1500.

What do you you think your car is at now with hp and whp?

What electronics do you have hooked up to it, or will get?
Im thinking one day I'll either get the Accel or greddy e-manage
I heard with the dfi you get almost no lag if tuned correctly.

lag depends on the turbo and etc, not electronics

I really have no idea what im pushing right now. Im hoping for around 350whp. The only electronics i have are an apexi rev/speed and TT.

Here are some videos guys..

The first one is kinda long, but there is a 10 to 120mph punch in it. 10 to 120 in 15 seconds.

The second one is short, just of my gauges during a warmup.

If someone could mirror these, that would be nice.
Eventually Im going to take all the videos I have and combine them into once nice video, when I figure out the software that is...

okay, but if you have an ecu that can correctly add more fuel and air it would compensate for the lag. I know someone with 25psi boost and Frank 4, stock motor, no lag. Accel Dfi.
umm.. still no.. the exhaust spins the turbine and the size and such decides on how much it takes to get it spun fully. not fuel/air

It can't. The lag, as BD1000 stated is caused by the gases spinning the turbine (spooling) and then spinning the compressor fast enough to compress the air (boost). The accell dfi can be used on a non turbo car as a "stand alone fuel system". In a turbo car it could be used as a full stand alone (controlling spark as well), however neither of these things effect turbo lag. I have a feeling someone is confusing you with the wrong terminology or something.

Ok maybe you guys might be right; I'm not gonna say anything to the guy to insult him, (im trying to buy some parts off him). He DID offer me to drive the car around the block to test it out, so maybe next time I see him....

ya dont insult him until u get the parts.. and we are right, there is no maybe about it. =)

James what pic was that?

Well I drove that guys car with the frank 4 and Accel DFI, and all I can say is damn its fast! :) For a big turbo like that I gotta say it does spool very quickly. I didnt even get to 3rd gear (I was too scared) 20psi boost it was on. I gotta drive it again and this time pay more attention to the rpms, or watch him drive it. I did remember it didnt take very long for the external wastegate to open up (loud). At one point, this bus driver pulled up to us, and opened his door and yelled at as about what kinda exhaust we had
