Recently I totalled one of my DSMs and am looking for one right now (it is good to have two when one is down :( ) I came across a gvr4 but it is missing the whole rear end and the driveshaft. The guy said it was converted to FWD for better fuel economy by the previous owner  Is it a pain in the behind to find one? What other solution can be had in this case? My understanding is that T/E/L one is a bit too short to fit there. I already have a spare four bolt diff. and axles for the talon which I can use. Thanks.

P.S. I checked some classifieds but to no avail so far.

Yea, VC is most likely fried. I have a spare tranny pulled from a junk yard car.
