Hello all,
I searched up and down on this issue and looked all over gvr4.org's forum but didn't register to post this up there.

I am looking at buying a '91 GVR-4, I am out of town but want to be prepped for when I get back. This car appears (in pictures) to have been debaged. I am wondering where the badging or labeling is supposed to be with the production numbers (xxxx of 2000). Is it stamped or just badged, and is there any other way to determine the number in a worst case scenario?

Also, kind of off topic, but were not all '91 VR-4's leather, or am I mistaken?

Thanks!

If the badge has been removed, there's no way to determine what # it was. The dash badges and keychains were put on the cars once they came off the boat in no particular order. A GVR4 with a low production number could have a badge that says it's "51 of 2000", while "52 of 2000" could have been the last GVR4 in the production run for that year. Kind of sucks, but it is what it is. A member on GVR4.org is compiling a registry that matches badge numbers and the VIN, so it might be possible to find out what it was originally badged as.

All U.S. GVR4's came from the factory with black leather. If the car has cloth or leather of a different color, chances are it was replaced by a previous owner.
