Hey guys, just bought my 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST. already put on a Turbo Manifold and Injen Intake. what would be the next couple projects i can do? "but for cheap" nothing like turbo or anything like that becuase thats what ill be doing last? what about sparkplugs? high performance sparkplug wires ect... what would you guys suggest?

Really depends on what you want for your future power output. Go visit the tech guides and go to 2g tubo hp guide, and I would follow there free mods list, and the stage 1 list, spark plugs and wires, like 8.5mm hotwires would be a good addition, or if your planning on a bit of power and have ohhhh, like 700$ lying around then I would go with a DSMLink with a palm, gotta be able to utilize all the power you will be looking for, also a hard intake pipe, and fliter would be nice, or a turbo back exhaust set up but megan racing or another company would be good to get rid of the back pressure and expell all those gasses as quick as possible.

Before you go modding your car, buy this first.
Haynes Service Manual.
Do all of your regular maintenance.
Change all fluids.
Possibly replace Rad Cap, and T-Stat.
Get some gauges, an aftermarket boost gauge at the very least.

New NGK BPR6ES plugs gapped to .028".
New MSD 8.5mm wires in Black.
Greddy Intercooler Pipe kit or =.
Type-RS BOV
Do a Fuel Pump re-wire.
Megan Racing Down Pipe.
OBDII/CARB approved 3" High Flow Cat
3" Cat-back Exhaust
Then finally a Hallman type MBC set to 16psi max.

Check out my profile, we have the same car in the same state.
If you'd need suggestions on what type of HF Cat, pm me, I just passed smog with a cold engine with all mods in my profile.

Oh, how many miles on your car, and do you have any records of the last T-Belt job?

Goodness.

fourreG, next time just give the link or report the post, this has been asked and answered 1000000000000000000000 times. At least.

To the OP, by "turbo manifold" I take it you mean tubular? I think I can see it in your photos. That is about step 8 in the tuning guide, so you've skipped over some stuff. Read the guide, but a turboback is about the most performance gain you will see in the early stages from a bolt on change.

Try getting a boost gauge and a boost controller and removing your Boost Control Solenoid Restrictor. If you find the right prices it should cost you less than 100 bucks. Next thing should probably be a Blow off valve.

LOL sorry man, wasnt even thinking about that. I dont think I mentioned turbo manifold by the way...unless your talking about someone else there, the closest I think I mentioned to "turbo" was turbo back exhaust.

You want to gap them properly, always. Even if it says they are .028" on the box, you can bet they aren't. Regap them yourself.
