I have a big problem with my 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T. This problem happened once in the rain a month ago. Then it happened again recently and then a day later just kept doing it. I was told the car is running pig rich. The problem started when a friend of mine was messing with the Apexi neo fuel controller and was messing with the air map thing putting all of it on positive. It would not want to go with your foot on the accelerator. When i put my foot on the gas, the air fuel ratio kept saying 10-11. It would not go past 2000 rpms. I have a Neo fuel controller and Denso 660cc injectors. I tried changing out the mass air flow sensor but that didn't help. I try using a friends Mass air flow sensor to see if that was the problem but it didn't change.

all that fuel map stuff has to be waaaaay negative. you need to pull fuel out, not add. dont let someone touch your car that doesnt know what they are doing wither. I had an safc 2 in my car with fic 650's and above 3.5k its minus 45%as in subtracting fuel, not adding. so if its adding fuel, thats really not good. if you keep driving it that way, youll burn the engine up. either put the stock injectors back in until you can get it figured out, or just stop driving it.

You have too much fuel correction, any positive adjustment is actually ADDING fuel to the engine ....With 660's you'll only need to add fuel in certain areas of the mapping....while under normal loads and lower flow rates you will need actually less fuel. If you're un-familiar with the AFC Neo then the first thing you should do is 0 out the map so the car runs before you wash the rings and damage the engine and then limp the car over to a tuner without boosting it.......Definitely find someone with experiance with tuning in general or at least someone familiar with tuning the AFC ......other wise it'll be confusing.

So are my fuel injectors toast now? There's no way of saving them? I don't know how to work the fuel controller. It does not have percentages on mine. The top part just says high throttle and negative whatever and so on same with the bottom.

Also the boost seems to be off now because when bought the car from this guy he came over and told me never to let anyone touch it again. Also when he pressed this thing in the engine the cars rpm went up and the boost activated around 2000rpms and we don't know why. I tried looking to see if i unplugged something in the dash when i put in a new deck but i cant seem to find anything. Also i don't even know what i'm looking for or at. I've been doing a lot of research and i cant find how to fix my problems.

your injectors are fine. if you dont know how to 0 it out, look around on google. im sure there is a youtube video for it. whatever you do, dont drive it the way it is.

I know how to 0 it out but it cant be moved that's for sure it does the same exact thing. It crawls like a snail. The car can only can stay in first and cant go past 2000 RPMS and also it idles at 11.1 to 12.3 air/fuel ratio. The guy i bought it from thought it was the mass air flow sensor but it seems that's not the problem and he is familiar with working it. Also when he started setting it to the negatives it was doing a little better but not enough. As soon as you press the gas it goes straight to 10 air/fuel ratio.

it doesnt sound like its compensating enough for the injectors. thats the only thing that would do that. i recommend you 0 it out, replace the inkectors with stock ones and go from there. if it runs fine after that, then take it somewhere with people that know how to use the neo, and have them put the injectors in and tune it.

Hopefully he will give me the stock injectors and the people who are near my area and are the cheapest is 3 hours away and they work with apexi neos. They charge 200-300$ for the dyno tune. Im assuming during the dyno tune they do that too right?

The stock injectors will blow my engine. Is there no other way to fix it and get it moving again?

Anyone else that could help me fix this problem?
