guess the problem

with all the parts i hooked up onto my car, i'm only gettin around 7 psi of boost....w/ an EVO III turbo. but the thing is that if i floor it, the car seems to miss, or jerk. yea, i got new plugs(BPR7ES) and they're gapped correctly. could it be a boost leak? i mean, could a boost leak cause this weird jerking at full throttle.

here's the beginning of this story: b4 i got my prfec b spec II, i used to bleed the wastegate/BSC line. i remember that if i bled it too much, this weird jerking would pop up.....but i only bled it enough to pull consistantly and it worked good. i kept thinkin it's fuel cut but then again fuel cut is @ 15~16psi, right?

this car is confusing the shit outta me....any guesses? can boost leak cause this? i just need some help b4 my motor goes asleep. thanks.

Your asking US if it is a boost leak???

How bout making a leak detector and have at it, YOU tell us if it is a boost leak.

He was asking if a boost leak could cause his problem. And yes, it could. It's also possible that with your EVOIII 16g that at 7psi your hitting close to 1700 hz and getting fuel cut. Not likely, but possible. This is where a datalogger or even an AFC would be nice. You could tell if you were hitting fuel cut that way. If it's a big boost leak causing your problem you would be running really rich. Are you?

hmm....maybe. sometimes i do run rich but it's not all the time. yea....maybe i should check for a boost leak. thanks.
