Guess the Missing Part

This is the timing belt side of the head. What are these little peg things called and where do I buy them from?

They're just dowel pins to hold the upper cam journals in place. I don't know if you can do without these, and I don't know if you can buy them seperately from Mitsubishi or any parts store. You may be able to size them, then see if you can get a pin from your local hardware store in the same size. Even if it's longer, you can grind them down.

I didnt think about a hardware store. Even though I have the homedepot leak tester. I knew someone here would have a bright idea

I am pretty sure you can buy those.

Go by your local Satan shop and ask them to look that up. It is more than likely a replacement part. Ask a PRICE and write down the PART #. I will see if I can get you a better deal if you would like.

i know around here there are several dead dsms at local junkyards just go out to one and try to pull one off a dead car cost next to nothing if anything at all if your shady

Hell, if you're going to rip apart a head in a junkyard to get one, you might as well just dump it in your pocket. You may be able to salvage one off of another make/model vehicle.
