so i guess the tranny is gone

well i put in my new ignition control module, it fired right up and i left it running and the rpm gauge started to work again! i put it in drive to leave the shop and (bang bang clunk clunk tick tick grrrrininginginig) from my right side and it stalled out, started it up again and put it in gear and shut off! now when i turn it on if i can get it on, it idles at 300 then died and shutss off and is impossible to get it started, sometimes you just hear the starter go click click click, im pretty sure the tranny is gone, i noticed atf fluid on the ground after, well guess the 1.8 is my daily driver for the winter again

When you get a chance check the torque converter and flywheel. I bought a Neon and it was making simular noises and it ended up being the torque converter bolts were coming loose. Best of luck and maybe you wont have to get a new tranny.

Yeah ..drop the tranny and see what is going on before you buy a new one.

any thread on dropping the auto tranny on here? this is an awd one too so im guessing the transfer case has to come out too

im not getting why its having a hard time starting now, i had to move it since it died in front of the bay last night, took forever to fire up, and i had to rev it and then i put it in reverse, and was still revving it and took a good 10 seconds to start moving, and it stalled when i let of the gas even though i was going about 5-8mph backwards, is the tranny seized so bad?
