GT4 Downsides

I know what FR means. And the 350Z is front-engine, rear-drive. What I am saying is I can't race it in the FR races, which sucks big time.

yes they couldve thrown in the porsche carrera gt and the gt3 rs and a 1g dsm, but they just stuck with the exact same porsches from gt3 into this game, didnt even bother to update the corvette, is there even a 03-04 cobra in there? I havent bothered to check, I think its jus tthe 00 cobra.

The only cobra I've seen is the SVT one they have in GT3.

No, they couldn't have. Porsche, Ferrari, and Lamborghini gave exclusive rights to EA for use in the Need for Speed series.

The rest of the world doesn't care about DSM's!!!! The only people who would want them in the game are the people that surf these forums. Why would Polyphony put a car with no historic value and no racing heritage whatsoever in the game to please 5,000 people?


Seriously, I like them as much as the next DSM'er, but I could care less that they aren't in the game. We need to get over this, people

Do u guys know how often the cars in the used lots cycle, not change but come back. I saw a Nissan Sileighty once (silvia s13 front end with 180sx rear which is the rear of the 240 hatchbackin the US). Anyways i have been checking like crazy in every used showrooms and she hasnt resurfaced yet. I was broke when i saw it thats why i didnt buy it.

Purchase any 180SX, 240SX, Sileighty, or Silvia + mod the Sh!t out of it!!!

1: Go to Japan

2: Go to Nissan

3: Go to One Make Races

4: Go to Silvia Sisters

5: Win all the races and you will get a "Nissan Sileighty"

You can get the Shelby Cobra and the Shelby GT 350 or whatever. Car selection is good enough for me, there are tons of cars in the game including a few DSMs.

The way they under rate the american cars is starting to get on my nerves and they dont even sound like big v8's . I did win a 63 ZO6 that is pretty sweet tho and I won the 88 iroc that they made handle like shit the vettes also handle like shit on this game.

I am suprised that no one else has mentioned it, but it drives me crazy. You win a race series and they give you a Nike 2022, Toyota Triathalon, Mazda 6, Iroc camaro, etc... and you can not sell them, and the toyota and nike you can't use anywhere either. I actually went and bought a caterham fire blade, modded it up, they I can't race it ANYWHERE. I kinda wish they would have mentioned that when I went to buy it. Even with the problems that it has it still gets ALOT of attention from me, so I can't complain.

Tuner Village is completely useless...the only reason to go there is to buy one of their cars, buying parts from HKS, Spoon, etc doesn't make any difference.

You can get origonal parts... like lvl 5 turbo, and lvl 4 suspension.

I hate how you cant use the Amuse s2k for the spyder class!! I paid 250,000 just for that

Yeah I figured that out a couple days ago, but I think you have to buy the last stage for that certain part to be unlocked in the Tuner Village. I figured it was pointless because I bought a new car and went straight there, but there wasn't anything different.

I checked the car list at the official GT4 site, and no other dsm's are listed other than the 'GT' eclipse and the esi Talon. I'm glad they had time to put those mercedes carriages and Jay Leno's $h!t box in the game over our beloved cars, and I do plan to write/ email these pricks about this. Maybe next time on Ps3, which is supposed to be an even better console. The game is still the best race sim for console, but my expectations were not met at all. I do like the new physics, but the other problems that have plagued this series haven't been fixed. The bad taste in my mouth is making it hard to sit down and play it as much as the first GT, which had me hooked the first time I played.

Yeah am surprised too with that glitch thing from the screen. At first i thought it was my tv or my monster component cable but i guess not. Am assuming they were so pressed for time already they couldn't afford to delay it again. Small price to pay i guess. But i still love the game to death as the glitch doesn't happen so often

If you check out gamespot.com they highlight a lot of the problems the creators of this game had. GT4 could have taken another 4 years to come out before they got it down exactly the way they wanted.

They were having problems everywhere. The main reason we don't have an online enabled game is because they had a problem coding or something to do with the Japanese internet interfaces. Because we were all set up to go over here, and then they decided to drop the online mode at the last part of 04.

As for the game itself, I am pleased with what they did, just not in the time it took. I knew GT4 would be GT3 with more cars, and more tracks, and thats what I was looking for.

All the other stuff they will work out by GT5 gaureenteed, and by then we'll all be one the system that sony puts out.

As for the AI (artificial intellengece) I agree it sucks that they don't deviate from their line, but tell me how much more pissed you'd be if they did some of the tricks that we do them.

Oh well, GT4 was worth it to me, can't do anything about the negatives, but I am pleased with the game.
