gt35r or sbr gt14 inter gate ????

ok i know the 35r is dual bb and i don't think the other one is...but im wondering which one would u choice....and please don't give me a name of a turb that isn't either the 35r or the gt14.....soo that being said whats ur pic....assuming that all is worked on the motor...block...head...manifold...etc etc latz

i do know that the GT14 is ball bearing but im not sure about dual ball bearing but i will be purchasing my gt14 shortly

You do realize that the GT35R is a Garrett style turbine housing and the GT14 is a Mitsubishi style housing right?

Some vendors (AMS, PTE, Limit Engineering) offer the GT35 with a Mitsubishi style turbine housing, but some argue that it just isn't big enough... I'll let them contribute to this thread if they care to ruin their eyes trying to read your above post.

we have done pretty well with the GT35R's our customers are running in the PTE mitsu housing. Spool up isn't bad and it gives one hell of a kick. Not one complaint.
 
i dont think that the difference is night and day from int to ext specially if you dumping to atmos with the internal ne way my next door neighbor has the gt13 internally gated and dumps to atmos and its great he switched to that from an fp green ext gate either or they both are great trubos it depends on what you want imo i go for simplicity gt14 int bolts right up and boost to heaven

One of many "real life" experiences... search for internal vs. external wastegates.

Whether it's dumped internally(rerouted back into the downpipe) or externally(you know, SICC noise) has nothing to do with the internal vs. external wastegate argument; it's just a preference thing..
