While the engine was out I figured it was a good time to use a ruberized undercoating on the entire engine bay. Its like a rhino liner. It deadens sound as well as seals and protects. Its flat black so if I ever decide to change the color of the car the engine bay wont have to be changed, plus it looks bad ass. I used 3M UNDERCOAT PROFESSIONAL from advanced auto parts. Let me know what you think. Here are before and after pics.

Wow!, I think it looks great, dude. I regret not having painted mine while I had my engine/tranny out. You really cleaned the front of that thing out, huh? why didn't you go ahead and get rid of that firewall board and paint that too. I mean, that couldn't take very long in comparison to what you've already done. Looks great! can't wait to get mine painted eventually. :thumb:

Keep us posted on the long-term durability of the finish. I had a buddy use some rubberized undercoating and it really ended up being a waste of time. It wasnt a 3M brand, however. Hopefully it holds up nicely in the high-heat environment.

The draw back to that is it is not heat, oil or gas resistant. In the directions it should have mentioned something about this and keeping over a foot away from exhaust. But you do have a sharp car.
