The Club can be defeated by hacksawing a 2" section out of the steering wheel allowing the thief to easily remove it. It's still not a bad idea to use though. Anything you can do to add to the time that it takes to get away with your car helps a bit, but unfortunately if a pro wants it bad enough they will usually get it.

I doubt your car was towed, takes too much time unless they have some info that the owner is out of town and car is out of sight of public.

Either way it might be a good idea to look through Craig's List classifieds, etc. for a while checking for DSM parts like the ones on your car.

my GST was stolen early this morning right infront of my own house..incredible since i live in such a secure neighborhood..no broken glass, somehow they bypassed my alarm.

Filed key blank. You might want to post your license plate number.

Or, just a real pair of wire cutters, cut the wheel, bend it, toss the Club and bend the wheel back. It's only ¼' wire in there.

all three transactions were made in the neighborhood of fruitvale ave. for the dsmers in the bay area/oakland area, keep an eye out would ya? i hope it comes up soon..i am going to kill these people.

Damn bro that sucks. It hits close because I work over in Fruitvale and I do not want my dsm to be in danger and I have to work today Well I will def be on the lookout for it and will drive around the area on my breaks to see if anyone is driving around. Hope you get her back man.

I would look for a dsm that you never seen before drivning around in primer or multi colored with a exhaust looking very similar to yours. Most of the time when a car is stole with the care they took not to break the windows are chop shop thieves or a street racer that knows about that particular make of car. If it was a joy rider they would have broke the window because they dont give a damn about broken parts. Street racers would be my gusess as you said they were rollin three deep. I would attend the local street races in your area looking for your car or the cars you saw in the survalance video if you could at least make the cars out.

I don't think they will sell the parts off. Thinking they are buildnig another car with it.

Any distinctive Interior parts, flaws in removeable body parts? Thats how I found my Iroc. I knew every nook and cranny of that car! Hope you find it man!!!!

No, not at all. I was in Ohio in August of 06 for the NOPI International Finals and we went looking for some other 'spirited drivers' one night...

Most factory alarms do not do anything than make noise like you said. An aftermarket alarm is a good investment!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tip: on the alarm install.... use black wires and find another place to mount the brain other than under the dash!!!!!!!!!!!!!Alarms only work if they are connected.
kill the brain kill the alarm, so make it invisible.

Don't kid yourself, there are car thieves on EVERY car forum. That is why if I had a lot of money into my car I would be hesitant to post pictures and any information they can use to locate me. I understand people wanting to show off their hard work, but it makes it that much easier for thieves to find to "good" cars to steal.

A guy on my local car forum posted some pictures of his fully built civic hatch. He had thousands of dollars into it and clearly cared a lot about it. It was stolen less then 2 weeks later. Who knows how long he had been driving it around unstolen before he posted the pictures. Might not be related, or might be the entire reason. I prefer not to take my chances.

Atleast no one would steal a 2gnt, and I very rarely hear of bmw's being stolen around here not to mention I never drive it anywhere that I have to park it where I can't watch it.

Most factory alarms do not do anything than make noise like you said. An aftermarket alarm is a good investment!!!!!!!!!!!!

If they make noise.... I know there is a major security problem on some european cars with factory alarm systems from the 90s and I'm pretty sure our cars also have this weakness
So an aftermarket alarm system really is a good idea! (...and other things to prevent the engine from starting )

to be honest a lot of people hear alarms go off and it's nothing but a nuisance to them. you don't see anyone running out of their house and calling the cops when alarms go off usually. anyways my car had gold/bronzeish rims, tanabe exhaust, front mount and 4 decals on the back left quater window...other than that..there's nothing that would make it stick outt.

Thats some crap man, sorry to hear about your loss , and Im with Maranello here, definately makes me consider getting an alarm or a fuel cut switch or something. Seeing this happen makes me see the negative side of moving out of Iowa.

ive never seen it in the town, I usually chill on E 23rd and 22nd .......Ive only seen one Eclipse GSX and thats all, No more 7th street, or on a blue moon, and If it does show up to Run, Its going to be in the Stack.
