Okay, my buddy has his GST in my garage and on jackstands right now. We've got the entire OEM exhaust completely off and just about all of the Megan Racing 3" exhaust bolted up... with the exception of the last piece with the muffler on it.

Our problem is getting the flange on the exhaust between the rear axle and the spare tire wheel well. Any suggestions on how we can finish up this project before tomorrow??

Please Help!

I had the sa me problem with my apexi N1. I was trying to fit the pipe through there and after an hour or so I realized that the pipe goes through the bottom of the axle intead of ontop. so you should try that with yours and it might save you alot of time and stress. Hope this helps.

no they go threw the top, you just have to get it angled right and push the bi*** on threw. Basically there is no easy way you gotta line it up, and shove it threw

You can see in the top picture how big the flange is and how tight it is trying to fit through there.

In the second pic you can see the other pipe and the angle definitely is meant for an "over" the axle fitment.

Well we got 'er on there. It took a combonation of swearing, pounding, beating and a floorjack and a hammer... along with a heavy dose of right foot (curb stomp style); but it's on now.

Somebody please tell me that AWD exhaust is easier. :p

Yeah AWD is a lot easier and straighter, I almost felt bad when I saw the difference in straightness between the AWD and FWD Megan exhausts.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. It looks like you have the jack stand under the rear axle causing the whole assembly to be higher than it would be if you had the jack under the jack points. If the jacks were under the jack points (in front of the rear tires where you jack if you were to remove a flat tire) then you would have had that extra clearance needed to get that exhaust thru.
