Hey guys, my grounding strap on the downpipe is ruined, after having fluid from the xfer case and many quarts of oil leaked in its general area it broke off and can no longer be bolted / welded to the downpipe. Is there any way to fix this little problem, like does mitsu have them available for order? And if so, would I have to weld it to the exhaust since my RNR with no cat doesnt have a spot for it to tighten down to? Thanks...

You dont really need that grounding strap. I've been running my car like that for a long time with no problems.

Well I hear that, mines been off for a while... But ive heard it can create idle problems, and a richer than usual condition. Is that right? Even if its just slightly bad I want to fix it, my 1g needs every bit of help it can get! :p

eversince i have had my car i have never had the strap on and i have a few upgrades SAFC II and what not but before that when it was stock i never smelt nething like that before

The additional grounding point can't hurt. For as easy as it is to hook one up I figure why not.

You can by braided ground straps at pretty much any car parts store. They come in different widths and length.
