What's going on fellas? Well, here's my problem....A few days ago my car started making this grinding noise when I was driving. Naturally, I put the car in neutral but the noise persisted. So, I parked the car and haven't driven it until today after I changed my transfer case fluid hoping that maybe this would be the solution. It wasn't. As soon as my car got around 3k rpm, that awesome sound came out once again. The noise is slower at slower speeds and faster at faster speeds. I checked the forums and the below link is as close to my problem as I could find, but no solid solution.

So here are the facts:
1) The grinding noise happens when the wheels are in motion no matter what gear the car is in.
2) Transfer case gear oil was changed today and no metal particles were recovered.
3) Motor mounts appear to be fine.
4) I haven't changed the transaxle or differential fluids yet but plan to this week.

Just looking to see if there are any gurus out there that have experienced this in the past and what possible avenues I can take to resolve my current situation. Thanks in advance!

I had the same problem about 7 months ago my car made a weird grinding noise starting at about 45 MPH it turned out to be my wheel bearing mild fix but well worth it check and see if that is a possibility.

Thanks for the replies I have received thus far. The wheel bearings had entered my mind but I wasn't sure. I will look into these possible "leads" and let you know how it turns out throughout the week. Please keep up the responses so this thread can help those who are experiencing this or will!:thumb:
