grinding in high rpms

In normal driving and shifting aroudn 3krpms-4krpms the tranny shift fine. When I shift at 6k or 7k rpms going into 3 it will grind and wont go in to gear right away. The car is a 95tsi awd with 83k miles on it. Just wondering whats causing this

Try double-clutching in Hi RPM and see if that helps. It could be a problem with the syncos
