Green turbo with RC 550 s-afc setting questions

Friend of mine as a Green turbo with 255 fuel pump, rc 550.
Also have fpr but can't remember what he set the pressure to.
He has the whole engine fully built, w/ all the basic add on
mods. He was telling me that when he put the 550 injectors,
the car would have trouble starting with black smoke coming out
and it would die if hitting the throttle. What are some of you
guys with the green turbo have their settings using the s-afc???

We can't do this to begin with, and especially not if we don't know what his base fuel pressure is. We don't know what year car it is, what kind of MAF it is running....

Tell him to buy a logger and learn to tune. Problem solved.

He's setup at 50-52 psi of fuel pressure.
It's a 98 GST with the stock 2g mas.
Is it because his fuel pressure is high???

It is because the afc is not tuned. Tell him to set the pressure back down to 43 with the vac. line disconnected and set the afc to -12 or so across the board. This will allow him to at least start the car. After that a logger is needed to tune it.

550's isn't enough for a Green if he wants to run 18psi on the street. Granted he could turn up the BFP like you said he did, but that just causes other problems. With 720's, i'm around 80% duty cycle at 19-20psi on pump. I know when i tried to run 18psi on 550's, I was at 10x duty cycle as a point of reference.
