So I am currently using a Recirculated Greddy Style Type S BOV and I noticed the lower vacuum port should this be connected and also would this by why i never hear the darn thing LOL.

You don't need to connect the bottom nipple.

Looking at your profile, I wouldn't expect you to really hear the BOV. You have no boost controller, so you are running stock boost, on a recirculated BOV, and the stock soft piping.

Even vented, I wouldn't expect you would hear much unless you were running higher boost and/or hard pipes.
 
Now i do believe you, however when I bought the car It had a Non circulated turbonex bov and I could hear it pretty loud.

Yea def need to finish updating the piping and get rid of the soft stuff.

Maintenance is higher priority.
 
I have ran them connected and not connected and with it connected it helps it open up at low boost and the bov it a bit louder
