Just like the title of the thread, my question is... if i get a greddy style BOV (S or RS) what do i have to do to get it to directly bolt onto my factory UICP? I am not trying to get a new UICP right now because i am going to get a FMIC kit down the road a little bit when i get some more money together and they come with all the hard piping. Is there a flange that i can buy that i can bolt to my factory UICP flange and then bolt the BOV to that? Thanks

yes theres a flang that you can buy with it, im sure theres an option to order one with the BOV if you look -- its a direct bolt on for a 1g, for the 2g youll need that flang

Stay away from the queefing BOV ROFL

If you must go with it, make sure you get the recirculating kit with it. Only vent if you have a GM MAF in blowthrough or are running speed density.

Be careful with knock-off bov's. I've seen some fail due to inferior diaphragms. If you want a cheap one just buy a 1g bov with the necessary flange or if you can find one from an evo 9 that will be even better considering it holds more boost and bolts right up to the factory 2g uicp.

For around the same money you could pick up a proven bov like the 1g or evo 9 valve, and I promise you they are of better quality then any knock off HKS bov.

Honestly you shouldn't worry about the sound. If you BOV is leaking which it will after 12psi, then yes get a stronger one. If you are just wanting sound then go with a GM MAF and translator. You'll get more sound with a hard intake and hard IC piping btw.

I would stay far away from the BOV you listed as it will most likely leak out of the box. I was expecting to see the Syncronic or NGR knockoff.

Just get a cheap 1g BOV until you have the funds to vent properly then get a TiAL and be done.

The evo 9 bov IS a direct bolt on for the factory UICP on the 2g. I personally care far more about performance then sound, but the evo 9 bov sounds better in my opinion anyway, and won't fail after 1k miles or so, and can hold plenty of boost.

yea i definetly sound like a moron right now haha. I am going to hold off on the BOV until i get my FMIC kit beacuse i am only running 10 pounds of boost with my b16g right now.

but i am going to agree with you on performance>sound.
