Greddy Profec B II USERS YOU'RE GONNA LOVE THIS (MOD)

I'm new on this board and I would like to share some good info for you greddy Profec B users, Now you can have the switching LOW/HIGH boost function easily:

The wireless switching kit from greddy cost around $100, and is a simple momentary switch but WIRELESS.

READ FIRST BEFORE MAKING THIS MOD.

If you plug a stereo headphone jack into the profec b II , you will have 3 wires comming out from the jack, one is GROUND , one is a 9volts source and the other one is a 3volts source that is the one that switch from LOW to HIGH boost when you momentary close the circuit with the ground wire.

Use a volmeter and check wich cable haves the 9volts source and discard that cable, and connect a Momentary push button switch on the other 2 cables .The 9volts source is to give power to the (greddy wireless switch) you don't need this cable.


THE SWITCH YOU'RE LOOKING FOR HAVES TO BE (Momentary push button switch that is normally open that it only connects when you pushed)

Good thinking. However I fail to see the "wireless" portion of the mod.

What he was trying to say it that rather then spend $100+ on the wireless setup, go spend $5 bucks at Radio Shack for those parts and it basicly works the same.

Only thing you give up is the wireless feature but it works the same and you save $100 bucks.

If you have Cruise Control in your car, mine does, you can hook up the the cruise control switch to the profec b and have something better than the wireless switch from greddy

this mod works like a charm i happen to have a cable layin around and a momentary switch, so i gave it a wirl and what do ya know works awsome!! now to mount it by the shifter for convenience!!

I was using my cruise control button but I put an afetrmarket steering wheel so Now I'm using the switch that change from LOW BEAM to HIGH BEAM , if you have your light turn it off and you play with those switches there is one that always turns on the HIGH BEAM momentary, well I cut the wires on the plugs and now instead of momentary switch to HIGH BEAMS I know switch form low to high boost , and I still have HIGH beams when I push the control foward, in my car they're 2 different circuits.

Is it ok it switch the boost setting during WOT? How does everything respond? Would be a huge shot of air.
