GReddy BOV hard or soft??

My type s BOV is recirculated and i was just wondering if i should keep it hard or keep it soft does it make any difference?

I tuned mine till you stop hearing compressor surge at all rpm ranges... like the manual says... this is the "chuuff chuff" sound that you hear when you let off of the gas or shift.. means youve got it set too hard and the air cant open the valve enough to release all the air and your turbo is trying to push against that air stuck against your throttle plate... not good for your turbo..
I found that it takesa fairly soft setting to not hear surge at any rpm point... but you can harden it up a little for race day.. because youll only be shifting at 7+k and that amount of air can open the valve even if its set pretty damn hard... andthe tighter the spring the faster it closes.. and the faster that valve closes up the faster your intake tract repressurizes.. that allows your boost to come back really fast between shifts..hope that helps
