First of all, I would like to say badass website. There is a large list of issues that have been fixed here and that is awesome. However I havn't exactly found the answers I am looking for, but I am learning a ton.
It might be my connection, however I am not able to download the full service manual from the link provided from this site. it gets to the fuel injectors and then it sais its loading the rest of the pages. but they never load, very strange.
Ok, onto the car. I bought this car thinking I was getting alot of information from the guy and he seemed like he knew what he was talking about, however when I recieved the car, all of the sudden he doesn't know much abou tit, so I stopped talking to him. However what I do know abou tit is in my profile information if you would like to look.
I got the car running and hooked up the LC-1 to the car, and then got it to idle just fine, and then connected the dsmlink up and ran it. To my knowledge I have everything set up correctly...to atleast start the tuning. however at idle I am running 16.6 af/r roughly...which is rediculous, so I tried to raise the fuel to get something out of maybe rich it out a bit. It did nothing! even at a 30% raise. wow...so I eraised the fuel pressure to 43, and still nothing... 16-17.5...crimeny. So, then I turned off the car and was searching around the engine bay for fuel being sprayed on something...and there is no leak I could find but it smelled like gas hardcore!
My steps right now are:
Check for seating on the injectors
Look at all the connections from rail to injectors...
if this doesn't work, I don't know what else. I am saying what I think I should do, but I am not sure, if there is smaller steps I should take, please point them out so I don't do anything stupid heh.
Now, all of that said, there are a few more things that I just wanted to point out to see if you have ran into this. While attempting to run the car to my house from where it was dropped of I noticed there is a significan knock present over 2400 rpm. I attributed this to no tuning done on the car yet, but it just stutters after that like there is no fuel to the car... I havn't researched a ton on compresser surge and I don't know what it is completely, however I heard someone say that this could be the reason? which is linked to the a/f problem I am having?
I think this is it for now, but if you all could ask me some questions I might be able to give you more information, however I am learning at a significant rate trying to get this thing to just run before I start changing large components out.
Thank you for your time,
