got bored started filing 1.8 valve cover to shave and polish

ok so i decided today that i wanted a smoother look under the hood so im using my spare parts from my old motor and shaving them. so far ive only started on the valve cover but there is plenty more to come here are some pics of what i have done so far im waiting on the drill to charge now damn cordless drill i wish i could find my other one. it still has a long ways to go

it is alot of work to get the grooves out of this 1.8 cover im only getting to work on it a couple hours at a time. and im mainly doing it with hand tools for precision

it takes me about 9 hrs, and i have one in the classifieds for 100.00 with a core. so go check it out, oh, and look at the manifolds too

Holy cr@p, you can turn a 1.8L sohc cover in to a 2.0L dohc cover by just polishing it?
