Got a little money to spend. Any ideas for a bone stock TSi?

So, I found out today my mustang is totaled and ill be getting a good amount of money, finally enough to buy another DSM.

I found a bone stock 97 Talon TSi, FWD for $2900.

Say If I got that and have around $1500-$2000 to drop into it right away. What should I go with first?

I was thinking since my buddy has an Apexi Downpipe he is giving me, I could get an o2 housing (dumped) and a simple ebay cat back or maybe a Thermal cat-back. Then do the intake, Upper Intercooler Piping & BOV, and other little things such as TurboTimer, BoostGauge, and a ManualBoostController.

What do you all think about that setup? Or is there something else I should add/remove?

I'd spend a lot of that on maintenance, timing belt, fluids and such. Get a way to control boost and a way to see the level of boost, get a new high flow air filter (cheap as hell), and a BOV. Skip out on some of those other engine mods, and get some good tires for that thing. Since it's FWD you'll really be able to tell the difference!

I second this! I don't know about anybody else, but i don't believe the work is done until i see receipts or do the work myself. A solid platform will be a whole lot more hassle then just throwing parts onto a car that says the work is done and isnt. But you know, its your car. If you feel comfortable that the work is done follow the RRE 2nd Generation Eclipse Upgrade Path

Ok so I might just buy it for the o2 housing...

Another question. I want to get the NGR Performance Type S BOV. Ive heard nothing but good things about them. My question is, if I buy an aftermarket BOV, what else would I need to make it work on a stock motor? I know id have to recirculate it unless I got the GM MAF etc...Would I need a greddy flange for the stock soft piping? Or should I just buy the single upper intercooler pipe w/ greddy flange already installed?

One more question LOL. The Air Intake. What intake system would you prefer? Would the K&N FIPK do me any good?

Right away im planning on doing Intake, BOV, Full exhaust. Would I need any tuning for these simple mods?

I noticed I said 1 more question then asked another....oh well hahah. Im sure ill have plenty more.
