this is for the 90 in your profile correct? do you have to pass smog where you live? if so then you wont pas, if not then that is totally up to you. performance gain, probably wont see any. most people do it to clean up the engine bay and get rid of all that stuff. if you don't have to pass an emissions standard where you live and your hoses are starting to rot out then it might be easier to remove and cap than replace. there really is no walk trough for it just pull all the hoses and rout new ones the way the picture shows (red dots are caps BTW)

Exactly, as long as you don't have to worry about smog testing
(or paying someone off ;))
its definitely beneficial to do this mod. Not only will you clean up the bay making it easier to work around, but you'll be removing vacuum lines from the intake manifold that will suck out unnecessary air i.e. eliminate leaks.

Go for it then. Only I wouldn’t hook it up exactly as it is in those diagrams. Do a search for the correct way to install a manual boost controller (mbc). sorry I cant view those pictures on this computer otherwise I would change them for you but basically the one hose running from the intake manifold to the BOV shouldn’t have anything tee'd off of it, people have had problems with their BOV when they do that. The more correct way to hook up your mbc is to go from the turbo compressor to the mbc back to the turbo waist gate actuator.

LOL this diagram is so confusing to me:confused::confused:

i really hope that's sarcasim.....if not then you really owe it to yourself to download a manual or two and learn how to read a diagram. i would highly recommend it before you press forward with this. any way here is a slimed down diagram of what i would do.

didn't mean to sound harsh on that but having been an aircraft mechanic in the air force for 15+ years i have seen my fare share of "new guys" come in who know what a screwdriver looks like but have no idea what to do with it, so i have to ask sometimes.

i will be as soon as i get my 2G back on the road. and i did a rebuild on a 91 for a guy i work with who also runs it this way. as long as you don't have to worry about emissions then it shouldn't be a problem.
