Good book for rebuilding Engine (4g63/4)

I'm probably going to build a motor for my car in the near future either a 4g63 stroked or a 4gcs with the 4g63 head. While I can completely assemble a motor no sweat. I have no idea how to check clearances on bearings and pistons and such. While I don't think this is difficult to do I don't want to wing it.

I have the DSM CD does that contain set by step info? If not is there are good book on engine building I could read that would help me see the light. I would all like to learn more about the math to figure out compression ratios and stroke and such. Thanks

well it may not contain step-by-step info but it will give you all the tolerances to check for.

u ever use that mr gasket desktop dyno? i dont know how accurate it is when building a motor past stock, but i plugged in the stock specs of motors like a 4g63 and it seemed accurate. u can adjust bout every part of the head and engine internals such as compression, stroke, bore and cylynderhead airflow and combustion chamber volume ect ect.
