Going through oil too fast, why?

Ok so I check my oil every so often and been noticing I am going through it awful fast. Every approximately 800miles my car is two quarts low.

My car does not smoke at idle or cruise. I only get fuel smoke below 4k when pushing it. Other than that it never smokes. I am not sure how it is burning the oil but it is. I have no leaks.

My compression is low about 125 across the board but this I attribute to the cams. They are evo8 skunk2 264/272s on my stock gst gears. So i believe no cam degreeing is what causes my low compression.

I did not see any type of scarring on the cylinder walls last i had my head off. Just a black ring on the top where the pistons stops.

Also I the other week I did a couple pulls to about 150 and next day found out i had blown my dipstick out. First time that has ever happened.

Anyone know why i go through oil so quickly? I was running 0w20 then added two quarts of vr1 50w. Last time after that i added two quarts mobile1 FS 10w 30. I never smell gas in my oil either.

The compression is a little worrisome, but you are correct the cams could cause this have you done a leak down test? It sounds like you are getting a good amount of blow by.

Are you still running the stock PCV system? What about a catch can?

How good/oldis the turbo? Any shaft play? What color is the smoke when you "push it?"

Turbo was perfectly fine when installed about a month or so ago. A few k since then. There was no play upon installation.

No idea. I can only see it in headlights in my rearview mirror as I pull away. I think it is just black fuel smoke as I'm doing about 19psi untuned. Since my banjo bolt broke & I had to make one, i have no fuel gauge. Its only under 4-4.5k like i said. After that it doesn't smoke. My turbine housing was alil sooty last my turbo was off. That's why I believe it is just fuel smoke.

I'll go check for shaft play right quick but i doubt its the turbo.

Yeah i really don't like the blow by I get but I cannot do anything about that. Though I would not know how much is too much. Running that fast that night 3 times in a row is the only time my dipstick has ever came out.

Stock working pcv valve and simple line to maf pipe. No catch can.

There is no shaft play. But i noticed my turbo doesnt spin freely. At all. I can feel some resistance actually. Not hard resistance but it won't spin freely.

19psi will push a good bit of pressure past the stock PCV valve and cause a lot of crank case pressure. I assume that will put oil into your intake tract as well as blowing out the dipstick...You can try one of these in line Check Valves | U.S. Plastic Corp.

I've been looking for those thanks. I couldn't remember the name of the company though.
