Going lean with 1000cc at 22psi above 5500rpms?

I cna not figure out why my car goes lean up top. I have a walbro 255 pump not rewired with 1000cc injectors. A auto parts store fuel filter whihc is 1 year old. All the lines are good and unkinked. And I am maxing out 1000cc injectors with a 60-1. Seeing like 88% when it goes lean. Boost leaks are minimal if any. And no leaks. switched out injecotrs with another set and changed out fpr to make sure one was not bad. Same results.

Any ideas?
 
You'd be surprised how much of a voltage drop you get at WOT. Rewire the FP for sure. Log batt voltage if you are curious to see. I used to see 12.6 at WOT before I installed the boost-a-pump and I have a 10gauge rewire and a 150 amp Saturn alternator.
 
Replace your fuel filter as well. According to the manufacturer they're supposed to be replaced once a year. Auto parts store filters are less than $20, and could make a difference.
 
Possitive!! that they are 1000s. I had 720s before and those were seeing 110% witht he same set up, and I had 1000s so I thought why the F not throw them in to see what happens.

I havea auto parts store alternator from a gallant so I don't ahev to doa saturn b/s swap. Bolts right up and plug fits nice. I am going to exhange since its warrenty. And re-wire it. Worth a shot, I did notice I heard the hum change while the blinker went back and forth at idle. And I will put a new fule filter in too! Takes 2 seconds with no cruise or emmisons in the way.

Will report back tomorrow if the parts store is open on easter. I just finished putting in 2 new huns, front tie rods and axels. Just more things to add to what was replaced haha.
 
What is your global correction on Link? What do the AFR's look like when the 1000's see high duty?

My battary volts at WOT is 12.5 to 12.8. I think that might be a tad low. A/f goes from 11.1-11.6 at 55% injector duty cycle to like 12.8-13.3 at 89% injector duty cycle. Starts getting lean around 5300rpms. Global is at 55.
 
Yep you're running out of pump. But it's only because of the voltage. Rewire that thing and you should be good to go.
 
Yeah, about 14volts is ideal. I still drop to about 13v after the car has been running for a while and the alternator gets hot. The damn voltage regulator cuts output at certain temps and I am trying to figure out a way around that. :hmm:

Also, 12.5-12.8 volts is what is at the ECU. You probably only have about 11v at the pump after it travels down 15ft of 18ga wire. (or whatever size it is)
 
This is a common problem where people think there out of injector but its actually the pump. Through a KB Boost a Pump on there and that single walbro will handle alot.
 
O no I am not getting the kenney bell boost a pump. Used I have seen them for 100. I think I will buy the wire and rewire it. Should only take 45 minutes to an hour. Whats another hour to the 2 front axles, tire rods, brakes, and hubs

Stupid maintence :p
