ok, i just bought a 3" GM MAS and the MAS translator. the instructions that came with the translator aren't that clear. i was just wondering if anyone else is running the GM MAS and translator in their 1g, and how the hell do you use the thing? i read that you could adjust the a/f ratio and other things, but i have no idea how. any help is good, thanks.

Make sure its the 2.0 version before you use those directions.

i think i've got the wrong translator. i got it off ebay from a guy that said it would work on an eclipse... nope. i did some looking around online, and i guess i've got a different model/version translator. it doesn't have that extra wire that you need to tap into somewhere on the car, and the instructions have nothing to do with a 4cyl. turbo eclipse. so i guess i just got screwed outta $150. should have just bought a brand new one ffor $50 more.

p.s. does anyone know where that extra wire taps into?

i'm not sure what the wire is for. could be rpm. all the sites that sell the translator don't say what the extra wire is for, just that it's gonna have to be tapped in somewhere. arrrgh. now i gotta get rid of this wong model translator on ebay or something.

it is probally the RPM wire since that is 1 of the 2 extras wires (aux fuel trigger is the other). I recommend the real Translator. There is also a good forum specifically for the translator at fullthrottletech. Sorry to hear of the bad luck on Ebay.
