Hello,

I have searched and read through a bunch of threads that all talk about the GM MAFT however I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible and how to run the gm MAF directly to the ecu by wiring in a plug to the stock 1g MAF plug? I currently have a GM 3in MAF and it has the MAFT with it however I have EMCLink version 3 and want to eliminate the the MAFT if at all possible. Any help is much appreciated.

I have seen their cable however its 75$ and I dont have that to drop on a cable when I would expect I could just wire it in properly.

I know however I dont want to pay for the cable. from the pictures I cant tell if the wires just go to pins in the 1g connectors or if there is some circuit before the connector.

The plug goes from the maft to the 1g connector, the other 3 wires go to the maft box , and the gm sensor hope this helps no way around this its plug and plug thats it. If you dont want the 75 calbe just keep it as is then with the maft box, im getting rid of mine soon and getting the cable.

So I found my answer the cable ECMlink sells actually has a circuit board in the cable that is to provide signal conditioning required to feed the GM MAF signal to the ECU. So Its a get the cable or keep the MAFT. My other question is do I select gm 3in Maf in emclink V3 with the translator or do I stick with stock?

so when I put in the 3in GM Maf with the MAFT I would select 3in GM in emclink correct?

Nope, you select the MAF type you have your MAFT setup up to emulate. The GM MAF specific settings are for when your using their cable to directly connect it to the ECU. With the MAFT it emulates either a 1G or 2G MAF and that's what DSMLink sees.
