I recently purchased a Injen intake that cost me 250 bucks. While i was installing it i realized that the re circulation tube wouldn't line up correctly because of my custom set up(pictures below show the weird angles). I want to vent to atmospheric without jeopardizing the A/F mixture.

1. Would it be better to have the link read from the speed density or through a GM MAF located closer to the throttle body?

2. What would I need to run a GM MAF set up?

3. What would i need to run a speed density set up?

Not sure why you would buy that paticular intake if your not going to use the stock maf.. If your going to run a GM Maf or s/d that pretty much eliminates the stock Maf from what i understand... could save money by customizing your own intake from filter to turbo inlet.. or diff intake.. i could be wrong.. im not all that turbo savy myself but thats my thought..

FOR THE gm mAF YOU WOULD NEED THE gm mAF ITSELF OF COURCE.. oops sorry for the caps.. but the maf and a trasnlator unless you have ecmlink and the cable....

If you do vent to atms. you will need to run the gm maf closer to the t/b.. would be t/b..gm maf.. then bov..

s/d you woud need link and the sensors..

I was planning on using the stock MAF but the intake didn't line up right so thats why i want to VTA now and try to sell the Injen intake that doesnt fit.

ok :) that makes sense just post that thing up in the ads and good luck to you :)

Not sure if the hose has to be direct or not so a flex hose might work just to recuir. if thats what you really want.. not sure.. I vent mine..

Either way you want to go, you need go grab dsmlink. Just do a bit more research and see what best fits your needs.

If I already have the ECMlink, all i need is the cable from ECMtuning and of course the maf itself?

I bought the SD kit with plug n play harness from ECM, took maybe 10 min to install/set up, well worth it IMO. ps, I like how the guy that wrote in caps continued to type and apologize instead of just deleting the sentence and re typing not in caps LOL classic!

As dsmspick answered.. yes all you need is the cable and the maf. make sure you get the correct cable of eitehr the 1g or 2g. They sell them on the ecmlink site or you can find a few on here people are selling for alittle cheaper..

it will plug into the stock harness and the gm maf and your ready go to start tuning as you said you already have link.

on the link site they also have a few demo vids to help you get started.. if you still need help.. make sure you register on the forums page and we can help you with logs there as well.. Im sure some will help you with logs here if need be as well..

Make sure you switch the setting in link to read that you are using a gm maf and what size and not the stock so it will register what your actually using :)
