well i raced my friends mustang gt last night and some how when i laucnh off first gear at 20 psi. it got stuck and didnt want come out of 1st. but after my rpm droped back down i was able to shift agian. i have been getting this issue ocasionaly when i raced and im starting to feel like something aint right. so do anyone have a idea whats the problem here with my car??? because i aint got a clue.

I have an idea, it's your release bearing. I have the same thing, some idiot mechanic did a clutch job for me cause I didn't have a place to do it myself, and didn't change the release bearing. The bearing got old and seized. Wore a big ripple in the shafte, and now, at high rpm, the clutch for vibrates so fast that it actually forces the slave cylinder back half way. I changed my clutch for (I had a lot of play in mine) to one w/ less play, and the problem has sufficiently reduced, although the problem is still there at high rpms.

I suggest you pull the tranny apart asap and change whatever is faulty, with time it WILL get worse if it's someone the same case as me.

Also, does your clutch feel like it just drops to the floor when it happens? If so, I can almost gurantee you it's the same prob. Change the bearing before it wears into your shaft and you need a new tranny.
