Well, I hate to sound like a nube, but I kind of am. I am a few months away from my associates in auto mechanics, but up until about a year and a half ago I was all about american muscle and thought the only cool thing about "The Fast & the Furious" was the black charger. But last year I traded my '73 Monte Carlo for this little red rocket. I have done some research and reading but am not sure about all of it.

So far all I have done for performance is the quick, easy, freebies; cut open the air can-pulled out the silencer-got a K&N Filter, and yanked that little restricter in the WG solenoid. No exhaust or any thing else engine-wise. I did however spend a whole lot of time and money rebuilding the completely wasted KM-215.

I recently got a Summit Speedcard and I'm ready to spend some money. So my thought was this-Blitz dual turbo timer W/dig boost meter & peak-hold, TurboX hi-po single stage boost control, and the B&M Command Flo Fuel Modifier W/0-100psi gauge and adjustment. Do these sound like good first mods or should I invest in some kind of ECU upgrade or datalogger first? Speaking of ECU's -- are there any good piggyback units like the Venom 400? I like the car being quiet though. I cant stand these damn honda's that sound like they have a 2-stroke. Any feed back will apreciated. :laser:

Just do a few basic things first. The easiest power you will see will come with the most basic things. Get an aftermarket boost gauge, manual boost controller, maybe look into exhaust or some other intake components before you play with your fuel. As long as you have a stock turbo on there, you will need very few fuel modifications. Like i said, do the basics, open up your airflow a little bit, increase your boost and that is where you will most likely see some increases in your cars performance. :dsm:

why is it that the only fuel that I can run w/out knock is 95 octane? I think that the head was plained before I got it, could that be? :laser:

before turning up the boost on the car make sure everything is up to par with the engine...check all belts ect...just do all the matinence work first, then get ur self a boost guage. MBC or EBC pretty much follow the tuning guide on the home page of this site..pretty mucha good guide to follow
