getting rid of chrome.....

I was wondering I have a FMIC that is polished but I want to take the polish off and leave it with that regular FMIC look. Just like the rest of the intercoolers I see out there. Is there a way to do this or am I stuck with a shinny FMIC. Any help is appreciated.

get some of the red scotch brite pads and sand it until it has a nice polished look, make sure that all your strokes go in the same direction or it will look like poop. This is assuming that it is polished aluminum and not chrome, it its actually chrome leave it be its alot easier than messing with it.

Thank you but i was trying to take the polished look OFF maybe i wrote it in wrong. But yea do you know if there is a way i can take the shinny look OFF and leave looking something like
