I looked him up and went to his house and his house is burnt down. I went to my local police dep and they dont have a new address for him yet so i cant go there once i get the new address I will be going there and finding my title. I will keep you posted.

This has been what a year project trying to get the title.:barf:

Just a thought here. I understand that your "friend" sold you a title that was registered to "A" car But but not the car you have. Have you talked to the police, or are you worried about losing the car because of it possible being stolen? Just my .02 but giving up the car and losing out on the money is better then going to prison for receiving stolen property.

Sounds like a bad jerry springer show . Dude sold car wasn't his car gave different title burned down his house ooo boyyyy. Hope u get this straightened out
Try doing a title search on the vin that's on the car . Maybe u can just apply for abandoned title pay a fee and then u can get the right title . Had to do that once before worked fine in Michigan anyway.
