gen 1 intake vs. gen 2

Im doing a 6 bolt swap and Im trying to decide if I should leave the old intake manifold on or slap on the gen 2 intake!


Is there any diffrence on airflow , etc.?

The intake ports on the 6bolt are twice as big as the 7 bolt motor. Therefore the 6 bolt intake mani outflows the 2nd gen manifold. But make sure you use a 1st gen throttlebody for the best performance cause its also bigger than a 2g one.

the motor I got didnt come with the gen 1 throttle body! "damn"!

Yeah I swaped my throttle bodie for a 1g and it made ALOT of difference so yes the manifold will be worth it.
